How Do You Make A  Bagel?
It's a big secret!!!

The Krewe distributes decorated bagels on the night of the parade.  Just as other Mardi Gras Krewes distribute beads, doubloons, trinkets, moon pies, condoms or decorated coconuts.  The bagels are lovingly decorated by members of the Krewe as they march down Decatur and through the French Quarter.  The highly valued bagels are decorated with paint and glitter.  Each bagel is required to be decorated with the name of the Krewe and the year of manufacture.

A few hardy members agree to lend their homes for the decorating parties.  Of course, they pay throughout the year by having homes with glitter residual in every corner.  Some also agree to participate in other ways to affect the production of the special bagels such as collection and preparation.
